Nexus Football Academy is an advanced training program tailored for dedicated players who are committed to taking their game to the highest level. With a focus on high-performance coaching, technical excellence, tactical development, and physical conditioning, players receive personalized training plans to help them refine their skills and reach elite competition.
Players compete in the Two Oceans LFA League, gaining valuable exposure and scouting opportunities to showcase their talent to professional clubs. In addition, Nexus Football Academy has a pathway partnership with Cape Town City FC, offering talented athletes the chance to be scouted for professional football.
Nexus Football Academy also emphasizes the importance of holistic development. In partnership with Hidden Halos, we provide academic education to our athletes, ensuring they are well-rounded both on and off the field. Beyond elite football training, we offer ongoing mentorship and character-building programs to guide players in their personal growth and leadership development.
At Nexus, we aim to nurture a generation of young men and women who not only excel in football but are also prepared for success in life beyond the game.
This is our beginner program and is tailored for young players aged 5-14 who are new to soccer or players that have no/limited experience. The program emphasises the following key areas:
Basic Skills Development
Dribbling: Learning how to control and manoeuvre the ball with both feet.
Passing: Understanding the basics of passing and receiving the ball. Shooting: Introduction to shooting techniques and aiming at the goal.
Ball Control: Developing coordination and balance while handling the ball.
Fun and Engaging
Drills - Small-Sided Games: Participating in mini-games to practice skills in a game-like setting. Skill-Building Activities: Fun drills and exercises to keep players engaged and motivated. Interactive Sessions: Incorporating playful elements to make learning enjoyable.
Introduction to Team Play
Basic Rules: Understanding the fundamental rules of soccer.
Teamwork: Encouraging cooperation and communication with teammates.
Sportsmanship: Teaching respect for opponents, coaches, and referees.

Bunono was obtaining a 50-60% average. Despite the challenge of adapting to new languages Bunono’s performance has improved dramatically, with current averages reaching
an outstanding 70-80%. This remarkable progress is a testament to his commitment, hardwork and dedication to academics.

· Came from a township soccer team in Philippi.
· He is U12 and tactically strong enough to have played in the U14 and U16 teams.
· Scouted by Cape Town City and trains with their U18 team.c
Andile was once a below-average achiever who struggled with motivation and effort in school. Through newfound diligence and commitment to his academics, Andile's results have
improved notably. He is now consistently achieving marks between 50-60%. This change highlights the power of determination and focus in academic success.
Soccer Start Date: August 2021
· Came from a township soccer team in JoSlovo.
· He is physically small however he has learnt to utilize body for optimal performance .
· He initially could only play striker and now has become a lot more versatile playing winger
and midfield as well.
Siba was an average achiever who struggles to grasp new concepts easily and therefore faced challenges during mainstream schooling and his previous results reflected this.
However, with a newfound dedication and commitment to working through difficult concepts, Siba has made impressive strides. By putting in the extra effort needed, he is now achieving
consistent results between 50-60%. Siba's journey demonstrates the impact of persistence and hard work in overcoming academic hurdles.

· Showed promising skills but not quite at academy level.
· Had good technical ability however he lacked the mental aspect of the game.
. He has now developed into academy level and is playing above his own age group.
